Preserving What Makes Michigan Beautiful

West Michigan Wildlife Conservancy is a registered non-profit organization formed to to safeguard imperiled wildlife and their habitats in the West Michigan

Our Mission

The West Michigan Wildlife Conservancy was formed in 2024 in response to unmitigated spread of highly destructive invasive species, including Hemlock Woolly Adelgid and Oriental Bittersweet. Our mission is to preserve the natural ecosystems and biodiversity of this area through conservation efforts, advocacy, and community engagement.

The West Michigan Wildlife Conservancy is currently in the process of becoming a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Many believe that a choice must be made between fiscal and environmental responsibility. We disagree. Our goal is to provide organizations and landowners financial incentives to protect our collective natural resources through comprehensive, pragmatic and scientifically informed strategies at the community level.
